World Usability Day ⚙️
Join us on Thursday, November 13th for World Usability Day, a global celebration of user-centered design and accessible technology. Explore how usability shapes everything from healthcare to the humanities, connect with alumni and local innovators, and discover how better design makes the world work better for everyone.
This year’s theme is “Emerging Technologies and the Human Experience,” focusing on how AI, augmented reality, and immersive interfaces are changing user interactions and human centered design.

Drop in Usability Sessions: 9 AM - 3 PM
Location: Entrepreneurial Suite, Rebecca M. Blank Student Commons at Morgridge Hall
Website Description: Drop in and share feedback on design concepts from campus and business partners. Get fun swag in exchange for around 15 minutes of your time!
Accessibility Empathy Building: 10 AM - 2 PM
Location: Stations throughout the first and second floor of Morgridge Hall
Website Description: Join the Center for User Experience at interactive stations exploring the usability of digital experiences and tools that improve accessibility. Fill in your accessibility passport by visiting all five stations.
Movie Night: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Room 1524 at Morgridge Hall
Website Description: Join us for a special viewing and discussion of the documentary General Magic: https://www.generalmagicthemovie.com/ Refreshments will be provided.
Panel Discussion: Usability in Action: 3 PM - 4 PM
Location: Undergraduate Lounge at Morgridge Hall
Website Description: Discover how usability shapes work across industries, specialties, and areas of study.
We’ll explore how key usability concepts come to life in different careers and what makes great design relevant to everyone. Refreshments will be served.
